Captain Dan spent another 3 days with the owners providing motor yacht lessons on this classic Hatteras. We really focused on additional situational awareness, boat handling and docking. The owners came so far in our sessions together. I was really able to focus these couple of days together on the information and skills they needed. We had some higher wind days and some calm wind also, which really allowed them to understand the importance of watching the forecast and how the weather affects this taller boat. We started in Kenosha Wisconsin but practiced in both Kenosha and Winthrop Harbor Illinois. After this time together I wrote the letter signing off for their insurance underwriter to see that we covered all the required items plus a few more in good detail.
